My Twitter bio (below) gives a 160 character summary of who I am, but things are obviously much more complicated than that.
If you’ve read ‘The Tipping Point‘ by Malcolm Gladwell then you’ll know what a ‘Connector’ is. It’s basically someone who joins the dots and brings people together which is what I try to do each and every day of my life. Over the past 14yrs I’ve had the great fortune to work in a variety of IT/web/marketing roles for large corporates, SME’s and not-for-profits including my current position of Web Development Executive for Shell LiveWIRE, ‘the UK’s biggest online community for young entrepreneurs’.
In January 2011 I was chosen to join Seth Godin’s ‘Domino Project Street Team‘ - a global list of influential bloggers & digital thinkers helping to change the face of publishing. This project not only introduced me to some amazing people, ideas and authors but also inspired me to push myself to fulfil my potential and make a difference to those around me.
In October 2011 I was invited to join the newly-formed CIM North East of England Regional Board as ‘Technology Ambassador’ for the region and so I’ll be doing my best to help increase the number of CIM members and quality events over the coming months.
Outside of work I’m married to my beautiful childhood sweetheart Lisa, have a gorgeous toddler son Jake and another little baby on the way (due in June 2012).
